Hockley Valley Light Spelt Flour is a brand of pure, 100% Canadian spelt flour ground from farro grain grown in Canada. We have been working together since 2019 to create engaging content for their website in conjunction with promotion on my personal blog.

I like to highlight the versatility of their product by creating both sweet and savory recipes. For the array below, I wanted to hop on the popular Strawberry Cake trend of spring 2021, but in my own way. My version is entirely plant-based, and uses no pre-made products or artificial colours. It’s a welcoming recipe for beginner home bakers because, although it is a 4 tiered cake, still feels casual and slightly undone. It’s the type of dessert you can imagine bringing to a BBQ or picnic; thick slices served on paper plates, with a bubbly drink in hand.
